Dear everyone, I am so sorry but I lost my internet several weeks ago. My in-laws misplaced my bill and I thought I had more time to get my minimum payment in. I am hoping to be back asap, but money is really tight right now.
To the CTs I am on, I would love to continue being on your teams, but understand if you need to replace me.
To the stores I sell at, I would love to stay, but again understand if you need to remove me.

I am hoping I am not gone for more than a month, but right now to turn my internet and phone back on I need to come up with close to $600.

Kaklei has an amazing new kit available in the CSD Store called Natural Surprise. Below are some of the layouts I created using this amazing kit. I have also done a few more challenges, one being over at OScraps. These were all for Joanne Brisebois' Spotlight Challenge. The rules were;
1) Draw a connection between the past and the present: Someone you know today (it could be you) may share a personality trait, skill, physical feature, experience or event that connects you/them to someone from the past. Use two photos - one from the past and one from the present - in your layout (feel free to add more photos). 2) Draw a connection within the present: Two people you know today (it could be you) who share a personality trait, skill, physical feature, experience, event or even a unique bond. Use two photos - both from the present - in your layout (feel free to add more photos).

I won a $25 gift certificate for having the most entries into this contest, as well as a $2 certificate just for playing along. These were done using Joanne Brisebois' Just a Good Old Fashioned Heritage Scrapbooking Kit & Addon.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next are some challenges from CSD.

This was done for the Colorize It Challenge, a Grayscale mini-kit was provided by Twin Mom Scraps and we had to pick a color scheme and re-color and create a layout.

Cool Motto Challenge hosted by Kaklei using her Unexpected Friendships Mini Add-On and using the motto "Finger Lickin' Good" from KFC some where on it.

As you might have noticed Kalifornia Grunge is no longer available for download. Don't worry as I said, today it would be turned into a paid kit. I have re-ordering of the folders to do then it will be put up for purchase at Scrap It Sassy! I am very excited to be joining all the lovely designers over there.
I am also in the works of a new kit (there will be a sampler and maybe a QP or two) currently nameless. I know I am behind on my California Broken day by day kit and my paid and freebie textures, but I have been trying to get things ready to put up at SIS. Hopefully later today I will have some stuff up for everyone.

So while working on my textures and my California Broken kit I was working on a Designer Kit Challenge over at CSD. The challenge was to create a kit using no CU products purchased and containing 10-15 papers & 20-30 elements. Looking for Photographers!

I am looking for photographers that have scenic and floral photos willing to let me turn their photos into texture and zip up into texture packs, use in kits as elements or create overlays out of them. I am willing to share profits on them if they sell (i.e. if I have a 10 pack selling for $1.50 and have a photo of yours in it I will pay you $.10 every time it sells, if I have more we can work something out). I really love taking texture shots, but the lighting in my house is horrible. I can use anything from flowers, odds and ends (buttons, ribbons, bows, keys), gravel, dirt, water anything you think might look good. If you are interested email me and we can talk about money and stuff, as of right now I just started selling, but if I go where I am hoping I will be more than happy to pay. Also if you are trying to promote your photographer and/or promote your business or hobby this will help. I am also willing and always looking for photos to use in layouts when I do design challenges (which will also be a link share).

Ok so I just used this one quickly, but I am in need of a new design. I have a lot to do that I don't have enough time to mess around with a template right now. I really like the layout of this one, but not liking the banner and that it has removed all the blogger stuff from the top. Plus I am not liking the RSS feed links at the top. I love the 3 column look and the ad section, but I am not liking the top of it. If anyone is willing to make one for me or direct me to some really cute scrapbooking layouts (for free as I am on limited funds right now) I will be your best friend.
My favorite color is purple, but not a big deal.

Here are today's textures and paper set. I am really loving that I did all these because I'm getting some really interesting effects on my papers and elements using them. I am going to be doing another few paper sets then I will be moving on to a few element sets for you all to complete my California Broken kit. Depending on how I feel about it I just might close down the links a week after I finish and put it up to sell, so make sure you get it while it is a freebie.

This first freebie texture is a cactus I saw and thought it would make interesting results when using it.This second one is a little different, I am not really sure what to call it, but my mom had it is a vase in her house and I really liked how it looked.Here is another paper set for you. Freebie #1 is a paper set I made using some of the textures included in my sets. I had a few people write to me and ask how I get my look using these textures so I thought I would make a paper set a day and eventually some elements to go with them for one pretty large kit titled California Broken. I titled it this because all of these photos were taken while visiting my mom and I am broken hearted since leaving to come home.
Now I use these textures generally in 3 ways, as an overlay using PSPs manual correction, as custom brushes and as layer masks. I am sure everyone can come up with other interesting techniques in using them, but there it is on how I go about using them.
So here is the paper set.Now for today's two texture freebies.

So as I mentioned I took some texture shots while on my recent vacation. I am going to put up two packs and two freebies a day (one from each pack) until I am finished with them all. In total there is 129 images. They are commercial use ok (please don't resell as your own or convert to brush format and sell as a brush), so feel free to use them in scrap kits, websites, paper packs and so on. I love to use them as overlays or brushes. They are greyscale and 737 x 553 pixels, but you can easily convert them to seamless tiles to use as flood fills.
This one consists of 13 different fabrics, including pillows, chair covers, clothing and rugs.

Summer Blog Train?!?!?!

Ok so I have been going back and forth with a few friends and I am thinking of hosting a summer blog train of sorts. I love summer time and especially going out for ice cream, so I thought of doing an Ice Cream Summer Blog Train. Basically anything to do with summertime, but the color scheme will be that of Neapolitan ice cream (one of my favs. of all time). I will post more details when I get home, but I am curious to how many people would be interested in joining? Made It!!!

Well we made it into Cali! The flight itself was great, but the girls weren't very happy about it at all. We're here until May 16th, but I will still be posting my share of the blog train on Friday! So keep on checking back. Otherwise I wont be around with freebies until we get home to Boston, believe me, even though it has been a little chilly here I would much rather remain here and close to my mom (maybe one day). That's it for now, but when I get home I will have a few texture for everyone (right now I have maybe 10-15) and they will all be CU ok, in greyscale. I might even put a tutorial up on how I use them in my papers. I have to say the sights are amazing and there are some awesome places and textures so I am just snapping away (whether it is the kids or the views). Well I am heading to put the girls to sleep and watch some TV.... Friday morning around 7am PST I will (hopefully) be posting up my newest freebie with the links to everyone else in the train!

My Cricut came in the mail today!!!! It is now my 3rd baby, and I am 100% in love with it already and I have only tested it out! I can't wait to get home (well not really I would love to stay in Cali) to work with it more and really get to work on the scrapbooks for my daughters. I just can't believe I finally have one, have I mentioned how much I love my hubby for letting me spend the money on it. Now I just have to get used to it and then I will be starting some paper S4H!!! Keep an eye out for new layouts and designs from me when I get back!

So I found the cutest blog train Chase The Winter Blues Away! This train has some amazing freebies, and I haven't even looked through it all. I just could not decide what I wanted to do with Pebbles Designs share of the train (love, love, love her freebie) so I came up with another template for you all to use. Now when I first looked at it myself I was like OMG I hate it. Then as I started to place my papers, elements and photo I actually really liked the design once it was completed. This template is ok for CU as are the others I have posted, so do what you like with it, just don't claim it as your own.

On a happy note, I contacted Provocraft again to see what was happening with my order and I was told it did in fact ship on Monday.... my credit card will be charged soon, she told me they check to see if the number is valid (hence seeing the charge, then it was gone) and once it is delivered and signed for I should see the charge again. Just maybe I will get it before I leave on Saturday and have some time to play, so stay tuned for previews of my paper scrapping as well. I might even put up some stuff on how to create my designs.

Two Blog Trains!!!

Well I have joined two different blog trains. I am really excited to be joining these trains, cause it means I really have to work on something new.

The first one is the Spring Fever Blog Train, which will include the colors below. It launches on May 1st, and I am actually pretty happy with what I have for my part so far. Click on the blinkie to head on over and check it out.

The second one is Red, White and Blue Blog Train, which of course is red, white and blue. This train launches on May 18th, which I am just about to start on. You can click on the blinkie to check this one out also.

Ok so you know how late at night they have the infomercial for the Cricut Expression package right? Get this hubby told me I had to buy it, that I could splurge and get it. He knows I have been wanting it since I first saw it and we had some extra spending money. I have all these supplies, but nothing to cut with and I need to start work on the girls scrap albums. Anyway, I go to the website and put in my order, woohoo totally excited. I instantly get an email back saying they got my order and would process it (which they state takes 3 business days usually), then I would get delivery details. So I am totally excited, I should have it within the next two weeks. I did this on April 1st, almost 2 weeks later I still have not received a confirmation email nor have they deducted the cost of my visa. After going nuts to find some way to contact them, I find a feed back form and fill it out with my order #. Several days later I get an email back saying they don't have my order on file and it was never sent to processing and give me a number to call. I call the number and the rep confirms no order in my name, I make sure that my card will not be charged and place a new order. Within 10 minutes I am off the phone, credit card charged and order processed due to deliver in 7-10 days. Cricut is due to deliver between Tues. and Fri., or so I thought. Hubby just had me check our bank account, and guess what yup the money is back in there, they refunded my account! I am beyond pissed, I wanted to at least be able to try it for like 24 hours before we head out on vacation for 3 weeks on the 25th (we're going to see my mom in Cali). Now it looks as though it won't be coming, and I have to wait until Mon. to confirm. If my order is MIA again I am going to go nuts on these people, tell them to FORGET IT and go buy it some where else. I really wanted it through them as they have all the little bits with it, but I might end up having to pick it up at Joanns or something.

Tonight I joined CSD's forum and I am still looking around. My first stop was the challenges section as this was how I found my way here from Twin Mom Scraps (amazing designer, and has some awesome freebies, so even for CU & S4H). Rebecca (Twin Mom Scraps) blogged about her newest challenge and I headed over and checked it out and had to do it. From there I noticed that Ivana from Ivana Designs is also hosting a challenge and I loved her freebie and theme so I had to do it also. Below are my LOs made for these challenges.
Shortly I am going to be working on some templates to replace those that were lost when my computer and site crashed, and maybe even a new kit (since Khloe's Sweetness is luckily on disk, half finished, but not sure where).

Well I have been working on a new kit for some time (in between computer crashes) and I finally have a teeny, tiny preview for you. It is named after my older daughter Khloe's Sweetness (though she can be far from sweet).
Also coming at the end of the month is a wonderful blog train I joined. So make sure you keep checking back as it should be up on the 31st.
Lastly I do plan to work on some more templates and maybe some CU stuff.

Well I lost the baby. My tests began to fade and I had some heavier spotting about a week later. I finally got hit by the reality of it about last week so I have been trying to keep myself busy with holiday stuff. Once this holiday season is over I have some new stuff happening and I should get back into designing and should have some new stuff up to download.

Well I decided to test today and got myself a BFP. I am currently 16DPO and got a nice faint BFP on FRER. I am due roughly around July 17th and currently right over 4 weeks pregnant. We are really nervous though because I have been spotting for the last 5-6 days so let's hope this baby sticks.

I am sorry I have been so scarce lately. I have just so much going on right now that I am have really fallen behind. Just as I was about to play catch up I made a horrible discovery. The other day I was on my laptop and I went to access my desktop through the network but it wasn't on the list. So I hop on my desktop thinking maybe it restarted itself and never got logged back on, which is the case so I login. After logging in I try to open my email and I can click to load something but then the icon just keeps showing the clock and it never loads and I cant do anything after that. So I decide to take it apart and clean it and my lovely tells me "hun, I just cleaned it all out the other day when I moved the room around." So I ask how did you clean it, and he shows me the cloth and tells me how he did not ground himself, so I am thinking OMG he zapped my computer. I get all pissy at him and head downstairs while he sits up here for hours trying to do a system recovery, which gets itself going only to freeze and go no further. The next day I attempt to do it as well, but when it doesn't work I run a disk scan and get an error message. I log onto my laptop and look into the error message to learn that my hard drive is fried. It says if you keep trying to do a system recovery or restart it whatever files that might have been able to be saved most likely wont be anymore. Great because he tried for oh I dont know like 10 hours with system recoveries and restarting. So now I have to replace my hard drive and hope and pray that my files are ok. You're probably sitting here saying so what, no need to be all upset about losing some files atleast it can be fixed, which is how I might have felt normally. What might be so important on this computer that I may or may not lose? All of my photos, when I say all I am talking about both of the girls pictures from birth until last month, our wedding photos, family photos, every siggy I have ever made, all of my personal and Real Mommies site files, all my emails (which include passwords and logins), phone numbers and addresses I had not copied to my hard address book. There is a ton more on there as well as about 15000 tube files including tons of scrap kits, over 5000 fonts, my entire boutique site stuff and of course all the info, websites and email addresses for products I am currently reviewing.
Those companies waiting for reviews, I promise I am trying the product I am just a little down lately and I dont want that to be reflected in my reviews because your products are amazing and I want to be able to properly write up your reviews. Within the next few days I will be going around to find your sites and email addresses to email you personally.
I hope to soon be back in full force and I am hoping with a scrap kit blog train I am part of being posted soon (if I ever get happy enough to work some more on it).

A Gift From Heaven!

No I am not talking about my daughters, although they are both gifts from heaven. I am however talking about the L'ovedbaby 4-in-1 Nursing Shawl.
I made certain this time around with Keira that I would try my hardest to breastfeed. I wanted nothing more to do it with Khloe as well, but because I knew I would eventually be returning to work I didn't try as hard as I know I could have. To my shock and absolute joy Keira is a boobaholic and just loves to nurse, preferring it over bottles of formula. Being that I never had such an opportunity with Khloe I wasn't very prepared for such nursing addict. More often than not I stayed in my room avoiding my in laws or staying at home when others were going out. I got to the point of almost trying to wean Keira but decided there had to be another option. We both loved nursing and it was our special mommy and daughter time that no one else could do.
Now I feel free. I no longer feel as though I need to leave a mall to nurse my daughter or pack bottles because I feel like everyone is looking at me when I am trying to feed her. With the 4-in-1 Nursing Shawl I get the freedom to nurse where ever and whenever without having to wonder if I am showing at all. Not only does it help to cover me it also keeps her from becoming distracted and breaking her latch to look around to see what is happening. She just loves the feel of it and often once finished nursing will cuddle up underneath it rubbing the outer fabric until she is fully a sleep.
I have already sent links to friends that I know are nursing moms, pregnant or TTC and they too agree that they just love the look and believe it will be one of their better investments.
When I first saw the shawl I fell in love with the look, but didn't know what to expect when it actually arrived. The day it arrived in the mail I raced upstairs to open it and fell further into love with it. It is so light weight and can easily fit into it's small pouch for carrying around. Since I have gotten mine I have not left the house without it. It comes with me and the girls to the park, the beach, the mall, away over night and even was there on my wedding day. I plan to continue using my shawl until the day myself or Keira decide it is time to stop nursing, but plan to use it with our future children.

I will post pictures in the next few days of Keira and I using our 4-in-1 Nursing Shawl.

Are You a C-Section Mommy?

I like many moms to be had my birth plan ready, I wanted to go drug-free and natural no matter how long it took (I'm not a big fan of needles). Towards the end of my pregnancy I had a few prenatal appointments were my blood pressure was a little too high and my doctor decided it would be best for both myself and Khloe to be induced. This was not part of my birth plan, but it was best for the both of us so I went for it and never made it very far in labor. After a day of induced labor it was in both our best interest to go ahead with a c-section.
Everything went smoothly and I kept telling myself I can always attempt a VBAC with our next baby. I healed very fast, my mother told me I was more healed than her incision from over 14 years ago. I walked as much as possible but almost every pair of panties I owned bothered me and didn't have a lot of support against my incision, so I just continued to wrap my stomach until it didn't bother me as much.
At four months post partum I got pregnant with Keira (well there goes my VBAC) and I am thinking because of my uterus pushing against the scar area as well as not being fully healed it When I went in for my repeat c-section my doctor got pretty close to my original incision that you can almost not tell where one ends and the other begins. Again I healed really fast, but now six months post partum I am having redness and it seems to be more puffed out than I remember. If I could only find a panty or some kind of brace to help put pressure on my incision and help keep my baby pouch from hanging over the incision.......

So I finished a new layout. It is not my everyday pages of my kids, but rather of two major hotties for a challenge over at Lauren Grier Designs. This is a major step out of the ordinary when it comes to my ideas, seeing as most are girlie for my daughters. I keep promising that my new kit will be out soon, but I just cant seem to find time to work on it. I have all the ideas for it in my head but something always comes up and I cant seem to get a move on it. I'm hoping (once I figure out what is wrong with my style sheet) to launch my boutique soon and that has me pretty busy. Even if my kit isn't done anytime soon I am hoping to get a few paper packs as well as an alpha or two done for everyone to use. I have slipped back into a design slump and cant seem to find my way out.

I'm a member of a mommy community called JustMommies and they just sold themselves to Eharmony (post here.) This is amazing as an owner of a mommy community to get a company that big wanting to purchase you. Upon asking what will happen the owners keep stating that they will remain in control, but will not specify if they have a written contract with eharmony stating such. However members remain uneasy over the recent buy out for several reasons.

1) Eharmony's founder Neil Clark Warren is Evangelical Christian. What does this mean for JM? Due to his religious beliefs he does not allow members of the gay community to join eharmony. JM has same sex mommies, and trans-gender parents on it's site. He boasts that his site is to help find marriage and that is why he does not allow homosexuals to join because in most of America they cannot be legally married, so another question posed is will he be against those of Pagan/Wiccan religions? Teen mothers? Single parents? Un-wed? Who knows what else he might be against. Currently this poses no problem to JM, but the former owners don't state how much control do they actually have and if no contract has been drawn up this means that at any time that eharmony does not agree with what they are doing they can strip them of their titles and remove them from the site and do whatever they see fit.

2) Upon purchasing JM eharmony aquired all personal profile information. Fine you put what you want in there, when you join you only put in your first name, email and desired member name and JM is an open forum so anyone can read it so no big deal. Right now it means nothing, as eharmony cannot send you anything, but whose says in the future (if not written into whatever deal was made with the owners) that they wont spam the hell out of you?

3) Currently JM is a free community, everything they have to offer are free services and again the owners say they will never charge that they generate money from their many advertisements. Going back to the contract though, this is a big company and they are not here to make people happy and find them their perfect match but to make money. If no contract exists this means at anytime they can put a monthly fee for any or all of the services offered by JM.

In the original post about this Patti states "Under the terms of Justmommies' privacy policy, you may choose to opt-out and have your personally identifiable information removed from the Justmommies database by simply replying to this email and saying in the body of your email that you want to be removed from the Justmommies database. In that event, we will discontinue your account on justmommies.com and remove the account information from our database." In other words if you don't like that they now have your information you don't have to let them have it but to do so you can no longer be a member.
This does not bother me much and I plan to stay a member and see what becomes of them after all is said and done. I am not very active over there as I have a lot going on, I co-own my own Mommy Community, I am opening my own boutique, working on stuff to sell in my boutique, taking care of two little girls under two, planning my wedding and spending time with my family. Just because I do own my own community does not mean I don't want to remain on JM. I have made many friends there and when I do have time I wish to read up on them and see what is going with their children. Never have I looked at it as "I want to steal members from JM to join our community" nor do I think we are in competition with them.
With all that said I do with Patti and Teresa the best of luck and hope for everyone that JM remains the same.

I have received the honor of reviewing a completely amazing product. I am ever so sorry I haven't been blogging. We recently were attacked by and infestation of bed bugs so I haven't been up in our room for a few weeks so I haven't been able to scrap at all. I just finally got my lovely DF to run my internet downstairs the other day so I could use my laptop and get online. We had our first treatment in extermination so I should be back up there soon, two more and they have guaranteed they will be 100% gone.
Kari won in naming my kit and has picked an Asian theme for my next one in honor of her baby girl Asia to be born any day now. I had started to work on it when my lovely PSP crashed and I lost everything I had open for inspiration.
Richie and I are in the midst of planning our wedding (well I am doing most of the planning and he is putting in his two cents, but going with the flow) and I already have purchased my gown, veil, tiara and earrings and all three of the girls dresses. We set a date of 10-25-08 but still haven't found a location in our budget which we have to do soon so I can print and send the invites.
I promise I will be back to working on some new stuff including a few new alpha sets.

A freebie for you. So this is my first attempt at making a template. It is 500 X 500 pixels. I'm hoping soon to make some 3600 x 3600 so you can print them out, but for now here you go.

Well I finally decided to setup a blog again. I will most likely be posting updates, as well as stuff I have created, including digital scrapbook stuff.
